Science IS Fun! Event

On October 30th, “Science IS Fun!” approximately 75 children attended with their parents, it was clear a great time was had by all. Also, it was very inspiring to see our high school students’ dedication to working with children, taking pictures, decorating classrooms, selecting and playing music for our visitors, serving food, and setting up before and cleaning up after the event. The event was sponsored by the Eldred CSD PTA and the Mid-Hudson Valley Section of the American Chemical Society.

"Science Is Fun!" was a team effort. Many thanks to Ms. Maxson and Dr. Morgano for their support of this initiative and to the JSHS Science Department - Bonnie Padua, Liz Stringer, and Tom Vorstadt - for training students, helping with acquiring supplies, and leading hands-on activities with cheerful enthusiasm!

The Parent Teacher Association provided funds to purchase sweets and drinks.

All-in-all, it was a successful community outreach by the great community of Eldred School District. Well done!
