Weighted Grading System

Students' high school transcripts reflect an weighted grade point average.

A weighted grade point average will be used for determining class rank.

The following courses will be weighted using a multiplier of 1.025:

Regents Mathematics
Regents Science
Regents English 11
Regents Global History
Regents U.S. History

Note: Students must pass the Regents exams in these classes to receive the added weight.

Advanced courses, Sullivan County Community College weighted using a multiplier of 1.05, are listed as follows:

Composition
Fundamentals of Speech
Introduction to Sociology
Principles of Biology
Western Civ. I
Western Civ II
US History I
US History II
PreCalculus
Calculus
