Assembly

Good evening 10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Students and Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather. It is good to see spring is finally here it seems. As you know the Junior Senior High School will be having their Prom this coming Saturday, May 20th at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon, New York. We are very excited for this evening, and look forward to the students having a great time and making a memorable experience.

We will be having an assembly on Wednesday, May 17th for all of our 10th-12th Graders. As you know, Prom season can bring to the forefront a lot of heavy topics like impaired driving. Many districts bring in speakers before their Proms to talk about the risks and consequences associated with impaired driving. In collaboration with SADD, the Junior Senior High School will be having a presentation with Mr. Stephen Emt. Mr. Emt sends a powerful message through his presentation, and one that I hope resonates with our students. More information about Mr. Emt can be found here:

If your child does not feel comfortable with the subject matter and elects not to attend, please let us know so we can make arrangements.

Thank you in advance and please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Michael Conklin

JSHS Principal
