On March 19th, students from Eldred and Fallsburg Junior-Senior High Schools came together for a Hope Squad Educational Exchange, an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and strengthen their peer-led mental health efforts. Throughout the day, students engaged in meaningful conversations, shared their experiences, and explored new ideas to better support their peers within their school communities.

The exchange created space for students to build connections beyond their own schools, fostering a sense of shared purpose and reinforcing that they are part of a larger, youth-driven movement focused on mental health awareness and support. These interactions encouraged collaboration while helping students gain new perspectives and practical strategies they can bring back to their Hope Squads.

Students left the day feeling motivated and inspired, with a renewed sense of confidence in their role as leaders. The exchange demonstrates the impact of elevating youth voices and creating opportunities for students to learn from one another—key components in building more supportive, connected, and stigma-free school communities across Sullivan County.
