Good evening Students, Parents, and Guardians,
I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the summer. I wanted to reach out to let you know that at this time all Regents exam scores have been uploaded to the Student/Parent Portal to be viewed.
Additionally, I would like to let you know that Eldred JSHS will be offering the August Regent Examinations to any students who need to take a specific exam. This will occur on Monday, August 19, 2024 and Tuesday, August 20, 2024. There will be more information regarding the schedule and finalized details as we get closer. However, Our Guidance Department has reached out to any student who will benefit from sitting for an August Regents exam. If any other students are interested in taking a specific exam, please contact Ms. Gueren or Mrs. Bonnell as soon as possible so plans can be made accordingly. I have included their contact information below for your reference.

Just a reminder that Regent Exams begin tomorrow, June 14th and will run until June 25th. Please note, there are no exams on Monday, June 17th, and Wednesday, June 19th, 2024. June 17th, is a rating day for our school, and on June 19th, the Juneteenth Holiday will be observed.
Please see the schedule attached to this message. Morning exams begin at 8:00 am sharp, and Afternoon Exams will begin at 12:00 pm sharp. Students must stay in the exams for a minimum of 2 hours after the start time.
If you are unsure of what exams your child is taking, please contact the main office so we can assist.
The transportation department will be following the normal morning bus routes and stopping at each stop for any student needing a ride to the exams. One afternoon bus run will occur around 3pm each afternoon.

On Thursday, May 30th, Eldred JSHS held their Annual Academic Awards Night. Induction ceremonies were held for National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society). We want to send a big congratulations to all those members. The Academic Awards night also recognized all students who earned Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, and Principal's List for the 2023-2024 academic year. It was a great evening sponsored by the Eldred Faculty Association. Eldred JSHS is proud of all our students accomplishments.
Incoming Freshman for the 24/25 School Year... Please join us this evening at 6pm @ the JSHS for a Freshmen Kick-Off night with Ms. Gueren!
Join us for our Annual Academic Recognition Night at the Eldred JSHS on May 30th at 6pm in the Gymnasium as we celebrate the students who achieved Honor Roll or higher for the first 3 Quarters of this school year! We will also hold Induction Ceremonies for NHS, NJHS, and Mu Alpha Theta! Hope to see you there!

To the Eldred Community:
We have 3 emergency days to give back. After discussion with the board, these are the following dates that Eldred Central School District will not be in session:
Monday, April 8th
Friday, May 24th
Wednesday, June 26th
SCBOCES, including VoTech, will also be closed on April 8th & May 24th. There will be no transportation, in district or out of district on these days.
If there needs to be any emergency closures after Spring Break, June 26th will be taken first and then May 24th will be taken second.

Eldred Performing Arts Club (EPAC) presents ANNIE JR this weekend, March 22 & 23, at 7pm at the Junior Senior High School.
A cast of 30 Eldred students, grades 2 through 12, have been working hard to prepare and perform this classic musical tale.

Congratulations to Eldred JSHS students, Madison Bonnell, Sophia Deyermond, and Olivia Masci for being awarded scholarships from the Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce! A big thank you to the Chamber of Commerce for recognizing our students!
Physical Education classes have been working on teamwork and communication. This activity is called "get your boat across the river". Students have to work together while doing this physical challenge to get from one side to the other. Great teamwork!
Today, the National Junior Honor Society closed out their winter clothing drive by breaking down supplies and donating extra items. Thank you to all that donated to their service project!
