Congratulations to all the award winners last night at the Sullivan County School Board Association's annual awards dinner. A special Congratulations to JSHS's very own, Kelly Pratcshler who was honored with the Outstanding Educator Award! Mrs. Pratcshler goes above and beyond for the students of Eldred. Thank you Mrs. Pratcshler!
7th graders were crocheting and weaving during class today! The best part is they all were working as a team towards a common goal!
More Ashokan fun! The 7th graders will be heading home today, but are still doing some great things at The Ashokan Center! These students were also able to accomplish ZERO waste during their meal last night! This is a goal of every school that attends Ashokan, and Eldred has accomplished this two years in a row! Nice job!

VoTech is closed on Thursday, 10/3. Students are only required to attend their classes at JSHS. If you do not have transportation and need to come prior to 6th period, you will be assigned study halls for the morning. Thank you.

There is also two informational meetings for the 7th grade Ashokan Trip and the 9th grade Washington Trip. They will both begin at 5:30 pm. Please attend if you can.

I hope everyone is enjoying the start of the summer. I wanted to reach out to let you know that at this time all Regents exam scores have been uploaded to the Student/Parent Portal to be viewed.
Additionally, I would like to let you know that Eldred JSHS will be offering the August Regent Examinations to any students who need to take a specific exam. This will occur on Monday, August 19, 2024 and Tuesday, August 20, 2024. There will be more information regarding the schedule and finalized details as we get closer. However, Our Guidance Department has reached out to any student who will benefit from sitting for an August Regents exam. If any other students are interested in taking a specific exam, please contact Ms. Gueren or Mrs. Bonnell as soon as possible so plans can be made accordingly. Just a reminder that Regent Exams begin tomorrow, June 14th and will run until June 25th. Please note, there are no exams on Monday, June 17th, and Wednesday, June 19th, 2024. June 17th, is a rating day for our school, and on June 19th, the Juneteenth Holiday will be observed.
Please see the schedule attached to this message. Morning exams begin at 8:00 am sharp, and Afternoon Exams will begin at 12:00 pm sharp. Students must stay in the exams for a minimum of 2 hours after the start time.
If you are unsure of what exams your child is taking, please contact the main office so we can assist.
The transportation department will be following the normal morning bus routes and stopping at each stop for any student needing a ride to the exams. One afternoon bus run will occur around 3pm each afternoon.

On Thursday, May 30th, Eldred JSHS held their Annual Academic Awards Night. Induction ceremonies were held for National Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society). We want to send a big congratulations to all those members. The Academic Awards night also recognized all students who earned Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, and Principal's List for the 2023-2024 academic year. It was a great evening sponsored by the Eldred Faculty Association. Eldred JSHS is proud of all our students accomplishments.
